I’m going to put it under a cut because it’ll probably be long and full of both fangirling and ranting. XD
So yesterday as you probably know because of my posts and stuff (sorry XD) I went down to London to watch The Duchess Of Malfi.
Had to get up at like five am to catch the coach that left at half six… And even then I didn’t care, even with the annoying person sat behind us and the fact I was ill. Simply because hell, I’d be seeing Harry Lloyd why should I care about annoying people? XD
Frankly, up until about five thirty pm (AKA when the play ended) it was a brilliant day! Absolutely brilliant.
Only problem? When we got to the Old Vic theatre, we went in to actually get the tickets (seeing as we reserved them and stuff) but because we were over an hour early, we went back outside and were going to look to go get a coffee or something when this random old woman started talking to use. (Who at first we assumed was a relative of one of the cast with the way she was talking but turned out to be some random woman who apparently liked plays or something XD) Turned out while we were inside, Harry Lloyd turned up on his bike and went inside…. I missed meeting Harry by five minutes…five minutes. XD Oh that was frustrating and yet I never expected to meet him anyway!
Oh the play though… Amazing! I really did enjoy it. And bloody hell it was amazing how close we were… I knew we were meant to be in the centre row B which would be the front row unless there was critics/family members etc. So honestly? I expected there to be people in front of us. Yep, there wasn’t. So I was simply a few foot away from Harry Lloyd when he was on stage… That was…gah, indescribable frankly! XD Because, for example, when he’s on the bed in one of the scenes and he’s shouting etc if I reached my arm out when he did…our fingers would have been inches, maybe even centimetres apart so honestly I’m surprised I even had coherent thoughts during the whole thing. XD
Then when the play ended, I’d asked if we could go to the stage door (like people had suggested) but we weren’t allowed because we had to get back to the coach station in enough time…and we weren’t sure how long it’d take to get to the coach station etc. Turns out the traffic was moving quicker and we got back quicker than the time it took to get to the theatre in the first place. So that was highly frustrating too. XD Especially seeing as then the coach ended up being delayed by over two hours…with having to swap coaches about three times. So the jorney back was quite frankly horrendous. XD
But even with all that, seeing the play and being so incredibly close kinda made it worth it… Because my god Harry is perfect ok? XD So minus the crappy coach travel and the frustration of missing him by five minutes and stuff even though I didn’t expect to meet him and even if he did I would be too tongue tied to even speak coherently. I really enjoyed the day and it was so great! This was incredibly long, stupid, pointless etc so I apologise if anybody did decide to read it. XD
